Chilworth Manor is commited to caring for the environment and promotes the best use of environmental practices throughout the hotel

Climate Change

Chilworth are members of the Hospitable Climates Industry. Following an energy saving survey by Cliuds Consultancy Ltd., from the Carbon Trust our Hotel set up departmental Green Teams to carry out energy saving initiatives.

Waste 

A waste research project was carried out with Southampton University in June 2006. Subsequently we installed balers to recycle all cardboard. We are also committed to various waste recycling programmes for glass, plastic and hazardous materials.

Raw Materials

Each year eight Christmas trees are purchased from sustainable managed forests and all timber materials for maintenance are obtained also from sustainable sources.
