Chilworth Manor offers a choice of reception rooms to suit every occasion and we cater for weddings throughout the year. An                  Edwardian Manor House, set in 12 acres of landscaped gardens, Chilworth Manor is approached along a rhododendron and tree
lined drive, which opens onto the wide lawns to the front of the house.

 

 

Enter the Manor House through the double oak doors and walk into the splendid Great Hall with its panelled walls, open fireplace
and the grand central staircase leading to a wide gallery running round the first floor.     

                     

 

To the rear, the south-facing Terrace, with fine views over the Hampshire countryside runs
the length of the Manor house and overlooks the lawns, which sweep down to the trees
beyond and a small lake. There is a magnificent 200 year-old Cedar of Lebanon tree, 
a perfect backdrop for those all important wedding photographs, which make your
wedding day truly memorable.

 

 

Easily accessible from the M3 and M27 on the A27 Romsey Road, Chilworth Manor is an easy drive for guests in the Southampton
area and from further afield. There is ample free car parking and helipad.

 The Lord Selborne Room

Situated adjacent to the Terrace to the South of the Manor House, The Lord Selborne Room has lots of windows looking out over the lawns and gardens. A bright and sunny room, ideal for up to 86 guests for a seated wedding breakfast or for up to 140 guests for an evening finger buffet with dancing. The adjacent Herb Garden Conservatory provides a welcoming area to greet your guests and serve reception drinks. Alternatively, weather permitting, you can receive your guests outside on the Terrace.


The Coach House


 

               

     

The former Coach House is now uniquely designed as a marquee with open rafters and glazed roof. It is very popular as a wedding reception room. It can accomodate up to 140 guests for a seated wedding breakfast or a more informal seated hot buffet reception

Menus and Arrangements - 2008 season. January - December

We cater for all styles of reception, be it a formal meal or buffet. The menus are a guideline for you to work from. If you require assistance in planning your menu we can assist.

We will be delighted to assist you and make arrangements for other services you may require, from bridal wear to florists for all your table flowers, bride's and bridesmaids bouquets and even thank you baskets for mothers.

 

Photographs of your memorable occasion may be taken in our grounds or in the reception room itself. We can suggest various local photographers who, in our experience, provide a first class service. Chauffeur driven car hire, background music such as a harpist or string quartet, helicopters for the departing couple and, of course, the cake can be arranged through our high quality local contacts.

The Wedding Breakfast

Chilworth Manor offers a comprehensive wedding package throughout the year. However, on Saturdays between 1st April and
28th October inclusive, minimum chargeable numbers apply for the Wedding Breakfast and the Evening Function as follows:
60 adults in the Lord Selborne Suite and Herb Garden function rooms and 90 adults in the Coach House Suite.

We suggest you allow half a bottle of wine per person with the Wedding Breakfast. As a guide our Chilworth Manor
house red or whire wine costs £14.25 per bottle. Alternatively select from our extensive Wine List.

For the traditional toast "to the Bride & Groom", we recommend a glass of Edward Sheldon NV brut champagne at 
£34.95 per bottle. Alternatively a glass of Seaview Brut Sparkling Wine at £24.95 per bottle.

The Honeymoon


Eisenhower Suite

The Dorothy L Sayer and Eisenhower Suites in the Manor House both overlook the Terrace and the south facing garden and have delightful bow shaped windows with window seats.

 Your Honeymoon Night   

A complimentary Suite in the Manor House is available for the Bride & Groom when purchasing the Wedding Package. If not, a Suite can be booked at a charge of £199.00, including English Breakfast and vat.

Wedding Guests Accommodation

There are ninety five en-suite bedrooms in the Manor House and Garden Wing. All have been recently refurbished and are equipped with two direct dial telephones, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press, hairdryer, iron and ironing boards. 

We offer a special accommodation tariff to all guests attending your reception in 2008 of £52.50 per person inclusive of full English Breakfast service and vat. These rates only apply on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and Bank Holidays. Rooms are not normally available until 2.00pm.

Your Marriage

Chilworth Manor has been granted a Civil Marriage Licence, which means that you can be married here. Two Rooms are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies.

    The GK Chesterton Suite

The GK Chesterton Suite together with adjoining rooms can now accommodate ceremonies for up to 105 people. It is situated in The Manor House with views out the Terrace and the south facing gardens. It is air conditioned.

            

The Cedar Suite

The Cedar Suite is also licensed and can accommodate up to 130 people.The suite is adjacent to the Manor House and connected via an enclosed walkway. It is air conditioned.

We have a CD system so music may be played before and after the ceremony. We will gladly play your discs or tapes as requested.

Hire of the GK Chesterton and Cedar Suites for Civil Wedding Ceremonies is £395 each.

Registrars

To arrange your ceremony at Chilworth Manor you will need to contact the local Registrar's Office to make the arrangements, checking the availability of dates and fees.

The booking of the registrar and arranging all necessary paperwork for your licence is your responsibility. You need to make an appointment before seeing the registrar. You should contact:-

The adjacent Herb Garden Conservatory provides a welcoming area to greet your guests and serve reception drinks.

Alternatively, weather permitting you can receive your guests outside on the Terrace overlooking the Lawns.

The intimate Lazard Room also overlooks the south facing

Terrace and Lawns.

It is ideal for that small and special occasion.

The Seely Room  

 

 

Celebration & Family dinners, Reunions and Company dinners for up to 20 guests.

The Seely overlooks the south facing Terrace and Lawns and is located on the ground floor.

 


 

The Coach House

 

 

 

The former Coach House is now uniquely designed as a marquee with open rafters and glazed roof.

It is very popular for social parties and christmas parties.

It can accomodate up to 170 guests for a seated function with disco or up to 140 guests for a more informal seated hot buffet reception

always happy to prepare any specific dishes you may wish to choose.

Photographs of the occasion may be taken in our grounds or in the reception room itself. We can recommend various local
photographers who, in our experience, provide a first class service.

Should your VIPs wish to arrive by helicopters that can also be arranged and if you want to round off the evening with a firework
display just let us know and we'll advise you about insurance.
